Hi guys,

Take a look!

Alfa Romeo 159 2.2 JTS Details - sgCarMart

Looks great, but can anyone tell me if its a good buy??

New car i've checked is 120k, 2mths only selling 112.5K seems like a good deal.

Itchy oridi... been looking at new Alfa 159 or Brera but to me Alfa can only buy 2nd hand, new one you will lose like hell !!

Any comments??

Re: Not a Bimmer...but an Alfa

112.5k is too high a price to pay for a used car. Even if its 3 mths old. I think the dep should be at lease 15k from new. So paying between 105-108k should be right.

Re: Not a Bimmer...but an Alfa

I just checked the tranfer fee....

Whopping $7389!!
:whythis:

Whats additional levy, has anyone heard of those?? :screwedu:

Re: Not a Bimmer...but an Alfa

That's LTA for you. Only interested in making money, dun even get me started on why we are still paying road tax with Electronic Road Pricing.

i think the additional levy charged is because the car is below 6months old.

Re: Not a Bimmer...but an Alfa

Yes, new car under 6 months ages suffer huge transfer fees. If you ask me, squeeze the seller.

Re: Not a Bimmer...but an Alfa

nice car, maybe the direct owner hp is divert to the dealer who wants
make more $$$$$$$ haha..

Re: Not a Bimmer...but an Alfa

Guys,

What is the transfer fee charge imposed by LTA? I thought it was 2% of sale price.

How come this car's cost 7k!?

Cheers,
B

I just checked with LTA....they told me for cars less than 6 mths old, there's addtional levy on the transfer to prevent speculation.

Its calculated as:
Current COE - COE paid for the car.

But what if the current coe is below the coe paid ? ?
The lady also gana stunned....hahahahahaha!!! :lol2:

Too bad COE seems to be heading North. :furious:
Is there a chance that it will drop?

Re: Not a Bimmer...but an Alfa

That is why I opt for 320, don't lose so much. I bargain like crazy and got one brand new at 117K
