Open Petition to Munich Auto

I am sure I am not the only person finding that things are getting quite crazy at MA with the over-capacity. They are now too successful for their own good. One can hardly find a spot to park our cars when visiting the showroom either for servicing or test drives. The location of the showroom is also way too inaccessible. I love this dealership and enjoy the experience with them, but I will never buy another M car unless they open up another service location or better yet, move the entire showroom. Here's an open appeal to the management. To the bros reading this, u are free to disagree with me, but if u agree, please let it be known.

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto

I thought parking was ok. Every time I go there I just illegal park outside the showroom opposite alfa. Sure got space, but no shelter. Anyway the ex-old car park also no shelter.

Great to have a service centre in the west, since I work at jurong area.

And as for staffing capacity, I think so far I have never had to queue for service. Every time also have slot.

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto

i've been quite happy with their service even when requesting for same-day appointments. parking is sometimes crowded but i basically go there, drop the car for service, and leave. or if its just a quick one, wait in the lounge while they change the engine oil.

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto

Parking space can be horrendous and it's pretty unpredictable.. It does feel cramp now.. Service wise, my pet peeve is their spray paint team.. 3 years into my ownership, my ride is now undergoing a one month overhaul of my paintwork.. And the problem lies with their QC and workmanship.. They need to overhaul their spray paint team personnel.. I forgot to add.. This year alone my car was re sent in 3-4 times for the same works

i do agree parking is a headache nowadays in Munich , I always try to go in the morning. But I love the location in the west, it 5mins from place. Extremely convenient. Service is still impeccable. But the place feel crapped nowadays after the Alfa Romeo showroom is move in front. It took up a lot of the free parking space. Move the bugger back.

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto

Bro, same here. I recently sent in my M5 to re-spray the front bumper and fender. Frozen grey became glossy grey. Had to send in again this week. Apparently, the master painter was away, hence the screw up.

Singapore is so small - nowhere is considered far or inaccessible.

But have to agree - parking is limited.

Omg!! I had the same issue.. My frozen white become neither frozen nor glossy.. And for this round of works, was told on Tuesday bonnet was not done properly due to dust particle trapped.. Gonna redo again.. I'm crossing my fingers this time collection can be successful..

All things are relative. Near or far would be defined by our local standard. It's not funny when u have to brave thru the evening peak hour traffic on AYE after collection. Each visit to ma costs me almost $40 in cab fares. Got really annoyed this week and asked why they dun offer taxi voucher. Was told u need to ask for it and was given $20. Wow...

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto

Taxi voucher ?

No courtesy car ?

Should add that to the list ....

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto

I have never considered courtesy car cos there just isn't enough to go around if everybody starts asking for it.

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto

Tried to use their drop-off service once, but was told I needed an Amex card for the payment. Amex cos I think they say Amex allows charging without physical credit card. Not sure why this is the case as I didn't have any issue with Ital Auto charging to my MasterCard without the card. Granted, the card was swiped there before, so maybe that's the case.

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto

I thought Munich Auto was at the current location from day one?

Means when one penned down his/her buying decision, one expected Munich Auto to be there for years - no matter how "inaccessible" the location may be.....

And surely, the ancillary costs of taxi fares and what-not would have been factored in, no?

Just curious.

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto

1. Nobody expected how frequently the M5 needs engine oil top-up
2. Secondly, MA was no where near as pack as they were then
3. Never factored in the need to re-spray after a botched paint job
4. AYE jam is not something u know before buying cos u don't have that routine of collecting the car at the end of the day
5. Nobody really factors in everything when buying a car and eventually, it wears u out...

MA can stay where they are, but for goodness sake, open up another service location. It's clear that they are operating above capacity now.

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto

Wow, I guess all these become major deterrents in buying an M car !!!

Thanks for sharing.

No longer M-cars FTW !!!

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto

Not to that extent. Like I said, I like the dealership and the product. I have always loved M cars and will always love them. I can even forgive them for the human error in the paint job. After all, we are only humans. I would be happy if they open up another more centrally located service location.

Just thinking out loud - What would be considered a central location ?

Leng Kee :p With respect to East and West, Leng Kee is indeed central. If we are talking about the whole island, then Sin Ming should be it!

Re: Open Petition to Munich Auto
