option

1. ask the bodykit shop that do your new bodykit to "eat" your oem bodykit ... probably $200-$300 if they willing as they also dump the bodykit in the storeroom

2. try to sell it yourself ... highly unlikely can sell

3. sell to a vendor ... checkout sitesponsor propelauto >> European automobile spare parts company in Singapore and Malaysia ... call them and say you got oem bodykit "like new" for sale. price is about $300-$400. they will collect the workshop who did your new bodykit

4. dump it at the bodykit shop

stock bodykit is worthless when you don't want it ... it's fking expensive when you want it because it's original ...
there is hardly cheong stock bodykit ... who want to buy?

Keeping in storehub would cost me min 50-80/mth. Just not worth it. I might as well give it away....

Re: Original F10 M kit and accessories

Ignorance is a bliss. Stock is best. I decided to keep my 523i looking like a stock 535i from PML.

Re: Original F10 M kit and accessories

Can advice what you did with the original bumpers after you installed the kit? I am too toying with the idea of the bodykit but can't figured what to keep the original kit. Also, mind pm-ing me where you get the kit from and roughly the costs of it?

Thanks!

Re: Original F10 M kit and accessories

90% dump it at the bodykit workshop
9% manage to sell and salvage $200-$300
1% keep it in their mansion

Hey MW, I'll take it as an advance reservation from you..LOL

Now probably have to store it in the bomb shelter for five years... Hope the shelter is big enough..

Re: Original F10 M kit and accessories

Btw, Anyone can point me to where I can enquire for pricing for the kits? Understand that site sponsors will have, but looking at better quality kits that doesnt have fitment issues. Mainly value for money options.

Please dun recommend PML or MA as their prices are very high, unless they are having promo...

Thanks!

Re: Original F10 M kit and accessories

value for money means wat? Cheap ones?

All site sponsors sell genuine kits as well apart from the usual replica (read: OEM) ones. All you have to do is ask them for the original kits.

Fitment is also not exactly swee swee for original kits. Some needs adjustments as well.

But then again, like I asked..wat do u mean by value for money?

Re: Original F10 M kit and accessories

Have you tried site sponsor kit ?
If not, what makes you think theirs is of low quality and will have fitment issue?
Then those sure fit well ones from PML/MA you say too expensive.
Where else you expect us to recommend you ?
Ai pee, ai chee, ai dua liap nee, go ai kia chu pee ....:shakebon:

Re: Original F10 M kit and accessories

Hi,
I have sold off my stock bodykit (both front and rear) at a very very low price ("garang guni" price). Apparently, no one in the market is interested in stocks body kit (need to wait for few yrs till someone is de-kitting or when someone got into an accident). Even the shop that I did my M-Sport kit, do not want my stock body kit even if it is FOC. His warehouse is full of stocks body kit. PMed you where I did my original M-Sport kit.

For me, value for money means I am paying for something worth its value. If I am paying for something cheap, for sure I expect a certain type of quailty. But if I am paying for something expensive, it will have to justify the price. Basically, I just dun like to be chopped like carrot.

Sadly I dun have the ability to try out different site sponsors' kits, pockets not deep enough. But from experience while in aussieland, the so called "oem" kits had very bad fitment issues, though not BMW but other makes. Therefore I am just worried that it may happen, "may" being the operative word.

Reason for asking advice from you guys are coz you are guys are definitely more well informed than me, as this is my first bmw car. Enquired from pml and was quoted much much higher than what some site sponsors had quoted me. Sponsors had told me that they get their parts from same suppliers. So that to me is too expensive, for the same parts and materials, and I dun think the difference in quality of the workmanship is worth that much higher price.

Not everybody goes for "Ai pee, ai chee, ai dua liap nee", and if conscience is clear, no need "go ai kia chu pee.." (hope I translated it correctly)

Seems like quite a few PM requesting for pics. Here you go.

Basically, I have done some of research, window shopping, visited a few workshops and searching around the forum. Got quotes from PML and sites sponsors too. And finally decided to go with SWC (I think this workshop and another workshop is frequently visited/mentioned by most of the forumers here).

By the way, I did not get any quotes from MA. I have contacted MA a few times via PM and 2-3 follow-up email requesting for quotes. Even went to their showroom. All I get is "We are working on it and will come back to you by today" but many "today" has passed and I still don't get any quotes from MA. Asked them for quotes on carbon trimming, rims, Power Kit, etc. also no reply till date. So, I gave up with them and decided to venture outside instead.
