Poor fellow - how will he remove the cement from his car ?

Looks like a Golf GTI

STOMPer Toi spotted this car almost entirely covered with cement following an unfortunate accident with a truck at Mountbatten Road.

From the picture, a large area of road was also covered with grey cement due to the incident.

The STOMPer wrote:

"I spotted this car covered with cement from a truck!

"The location is Mountbatten Road before Stadium Blvd, going toward Fort Road just before the traffic lights.

"It looks like the truck braked suddenly before the red light, causing the cement it was carrying to spill through the back panel and covering the small car just behind it."

Re: Ouch! Look what this truck dumped onto poor driver's car

Looking at the photo, i guess the car must be following very close , else how to cover the entire car? Even the boot area is covered ?

Re: Ouch! Look what this truck dumped onto poor driver's car

The rear windscreen is gone ...... Guess the cement filled the trunk and the interiors as well ....

Will insurance cover ?

Re: Ouch! Look what this truck dumped onto poor driver's car

Actually dun think its cement as the vehicle carrying the material is a dump truck . Could be other materials , looks like clay.

I also wonder if car insurance will cover it? Probably will be wise to claim it from the truck company instead.

Best case is clay. Worst case, manure.

welcome flinstone..

Re: Ouch! Look what this truck dumped onto poor driver's car

It's a black Polo GTi with vrn SJX nnnn.
Car was in front, truck jam brake, steered right and SPILLED cargo on car.
But due to the truck speed it skidded and end up stopping further than the car. Note the tire mark on the floor behind the truck.

Re: Ouch! Look what this truck dumped onto poor driver's car

Looks like a write off to me, esp if interior also kenna.

Re: Ouch! Look what this truck dumped onto poor driver's car

some say it's sea mud. cars are costly to write off nowadays or rather expensive to replace. maybe a good 50 bucks car wash will do the job and a good polish ?

Re: Ouch! Look what this truck dumped onto poor driver's car

Mud is inside the car.
Not so easy to clean.

looks more like every panel needs to replace if it's cement, if not cement, will probably still need a full strip down bare metal respray, no way a polishing job can fix that. Even worse if it went into the interior, all the insides will need to replace also, down to the carpeting.
