Just to share a lobang with u guys...

I just gotta know a freelance doing spraying rims & paint calipers at MSCP and so decided to give it a try... My friend sprayed his 18" to matte black & red calipers for only $160!!! & I paint my calipers to gloss black @ only $60 for front n back.

Good workmanship & nice young chap: Yas @ 9171 9156

I'm only an end user & got no affliation to him.

Just that I feel he is doing an honest living with a great attitude.

Re: Painting of Caliper

Any idea what is the heat tolerance of the paint he uses? Normal paint will flake off. Example G2 can withstand 500 degrees Celsius.

And how was the inside of the calipers painted, assuming he did not bleed or remove the calipers?

Re: Painting of Caliper

I am guessing he uses paint brush to slowly do it....tats why he needed to life the car up sideways for a better view, plus he looks like his head very small can go into the whole wheel arch to do detailed painting

Re: Painting of Caliper

How long for the whole process and for the paint to dry ah? He is the one who operates at Balestier?

Re: Painting of Caliper

Either mask e remainding area the jus spray e caliper up. (should be normal high temp spray paint) Or take out cailper to spray it.

Looks like he took it out, place it on e floor & spray it. Workmanship (from pic not bad) but in years to come, paint will peel off due to heat.

My nee jiam

Yes Kenn.. after weeks ones r normal high temp spray paint. Actual high temp paint can last longer but due to DIY condition, it gives way..

Actually, best is to bake it (matte or gloss finish doesnt matter) Of cos no budget = powder coat it!
