A group of us drove in 2 cars up to Malacca on Saturday, stayed one night, went shopping and eating Sunday, then returned back Sunday evening.
During the shopping on Sunday afternoon, our 2 cars were parked along a road 10 minutes walk from a mega mall, in proper parking spaces, along with many other cars. There are no signs, no meters, nothing to indicate restrictions, yet when we returned at 5pm, both of our cars had a parking ticket (RM30).
Closer inspection showed none of the Malaysian registered vehicles had tickets and as we drove further along, noticed that all Singapore cars had been ticketed.
The ticket is in Malay, so I have no idea what I am supposed to do, but the other driver in my group said there would be no problem if we simply ignored the fine and do not pay, unlike police fines, which if you ignore, can get you in trouble during immigration checks or at police road blocks.
Do I just throw the ticket away?
