Re: Petrol for 2009 318i

Hi all, from the replies above 98 seems the way to go. Any thoughts on whether it should be Shell, Caltex, Esso or SPC? I believe different cars (engines) has specific preferences.

Re: Petrol for 2009 318i

i pump 98 de, only pump v power when theres promotion. anyway, from my observation, its better to pump 98 as fuel consumption is much better. tank depletes fast on 95, and its very much dependent on your driving style. if you floor, 98/v power(if got promotion) is more ideal. =p

and also theoretically speaking, 98 has higher octane level, hence better fuel combustion compared to 95. with better combustion comes better FC. :blahblah::blahblah:

is 95 good enough for 318i e90 for daily usage? not to vroom or anything. will it hurt engine?
The diff btw 95 & 98 is 8 cents/liter. That would be $4.8 over a full tank. Even in good old Nissan Sunny, i have nvr pump 95.
