PI vs PML 3Series

The price of a PI against PML should be about 10 to 15k difference but PI usually highly specced but not necessarily so all the time.

The drawback of a PI car is that unless ur PI car has got proper documentation, warranty might be a issue. If with proper papers, then the warranty is 2 years BMW International warranty with no limitation on mileage. Also, for PI car, u have to pay outfront for the claim item but PML will usually pay back within 4-6 weeks when BMW endorsed on the claim. A PI car with proper documentation can still be presented at PML for servicing, but you r still not their customer even though u spent another 30k on accessories with them, while the other bloke who bot a car from them and never return until their car breakdown and cry father cry mother will still be considered their customer... :screwedu: :screwedu:

And currently, all the sedan is assembled in S.A while the coupe is done in Germany.....

If u really looking at PI car, Juzz4cars is doing PI and the last i was told is that 330i is going for about 190k...

Currently PML's offering $203K for a 330i, while PI at $190K, not really as much as i expect, maybe its due to the current rock-bottom car prices. But a 3L car is way too much for me. The most i'll go wil be a 320i(2.2) but just worried of the fuel comsumption that the 6potties might kill me as compared to a 4potties valvetronic!

A PI car can be specced to whatever specification you want, but of course from the factory list.

All cars got what they call the Executive model, like what u see in PML car or a Sports model but again, it's difficult to say cos it all depends on the person who spec it.

As for the difference between the german and SA car, one you will smell of german hotdog or larger if it's a friday car while the SA ones, u get curly hair on the carpet.... U won't have sedan from germany i supposed cos all sedan is from SA.

IMHO, u don normally PI a 320 or 318 as even the PI know the price at PML quite hard to beat. U usually go for the more exotic cars like M3 or something the PML don bring in, like a 318Ti compact kind of thing...

Hi PB thanks for the information. Didn't know BMW had a 2 yrs Intl warranty and can claim from PML some more. Would you have to pay for labor if you bring your PI BMW in for repairs?

arhh, interesting indeed. Cars like 318Ti are boring, and M3 are way too expensive..hahha!!..a 320i will do juz fine for me. so PML seems to be a much better choice for me! Thank you so much ppl!!

PS: Is arsony driving a 320i manual? I would like to hear more from him. I'm kinda interested in a manual too..and wats more its a 6potties..fantastic!

You shld still able to special indent a manual 320i from PML cost wld be 5k less, but prob you have to have a longer wait for like 3 months or so be4 you get ur car.

Given the diff of $13k, you're better off getting the car from PML. Easier when it comes to selling the car in future. Like it or not, PML cars are easier to sell compared to PI cars. Unless the savings are > $30k

Why would it be easier to sell? Unless you're thinking of selling the car within the warranty period it really wouldn't make alot of difference.
