oh yah i forgot

the argument for taste, tact, and self-moderation, has been trumpeted more than once before - yet somehow it never stays and external action has to be taken.

which echoes the make-up of society in general doesnt it? without legislation and jurisdiction, hell breaks loose.. but with over-policing, you get a hesitant, pensive and un-inspiring society. Policing there must be, but with care.

And if voicing out is all about guts, why did we wait until someone who has posted only 5 times to break the silence? Make that 4, cos the 5th one was feedback..

I notice some "recalcitrant" ones on the forum, so does anyone have courage to point them out?? Failure to speak up does not connote lack of courage - sometimes it is act of tolerance.

Cheers!

Doc,
May be beyond tolerance. Perhaps apathy. Maybe the members do not feel a need to change or totally bochup.

By virtue of the relativity and subjectivity of "taste, tact, and self-moderation" makes it a futile exercise. An external standard has to be used to ensure an acceptable level/state of the above is maintained, hence external action.

I do not believe external action is inevitable - or at least not at such short intervals. The degree of subjective judgement must be somehow larger on local forums vs overseas ones because they manage very well. Us Singaporeans must be a very diverse bunch.

I won't disagree. I thought cultural diversity with uniformity in compliance to the Republic is what makes Singapore so unique.

Then again, there exists an irony here that BMW.SG members aren't very compliant with the forum government.

No one said it is all about guts. "bothers/dares" holds two options - either, or. If he is not daring, then he bothers - or like you added - could be other things like tolerance.

Dunno.. maybe like Tanzy said they bochup. Or maybe they're tolerant, or just don't want hassle and the potential drawing out - don't have time?

Voicing out is good but do it in a more "appropriate way" as I mentioned before, doesnt mean posting ur views (not talking abt guts or testing ur Fear factor) will get positive results or immediate actions will be taken, it takes time to "cultivate" or for changes to take place.

Sometimes it's not tolerance or bochup, it's a hesitation that shld they contributes their feedback. If u want the forums to keep for the intended purposes or what u will like to see in the forums in future, then drop a private feedback to the management to get things improve & not sword fighting online. :)

Hi Cabrio Ken,

I used to own a E46 Cabrio juz like u; nice ride n still missin the car....Also, used to own the E36 as well, but it was a sedan. Wat the rest are tryin to say is dat it seems like BMW.SG doesnt manufacture any M3 CSL Cabrios at all. U can do a search on internet on the relevant websites on this.

Also, the well known "1100" PY M3 cabrio is an artpiece done by the Master Ah Lye. It is actually a 320 cabrio but done up beautifully in cosmetics. Given this, yr bros car may hav gone thru the same cosmestic process as well.....n if u want, yr cabrio can do it too. Personally I may hav bot tis car if I did not buy my cabrio earlier. it is beautiful.

ok, join the rest of us n u will find out much more abt the people here. All r nice pple in general.

Cheers

Incidentally spotted this car in Chinatown last night 7 pm. It was just in front of me. SF_ 1100 K. Yellow. M3 side grilles, quad pipes, ...... but no LED clusters. The engine does not roar with the metallic resonance. When the driver gunned his car, it sounded softer than most 6-pot engines. That's a big giveaway.

But have to say the car is aesthetically well done up.

What are the other known Yams out there other than 1100 and 333?

Tanzy bro,

till now, we stil not sure whether '333' is a Yam or not; but there are quite a few '333' e46 cabrios runnin around though.

I know of a couple more........will reveal to u when u buy me kopi......keke.
