Anyone done the Advanced Driver Training offered by PML? Is it worth the $1200?

Re: PML Advanced Driver Training

ADT is now $1200? i would say not worth the money.... because it was $400 only 2 to 3 years ago.

Re: PML Advanced Driver Training

mock,
i just checked the website. ADT is $1300 and IDT is $3000. steam

Re: PML Advanced Driver Training

wah KOW!!!! inflation sia....... think i can forget bout IDT liao.... nnb
more den double the price..... and still at PG.... shiet

Re: PML Advanced Driver Training

Well, if you calculate it, would you 'rent' your car out for a day knowing the things that you would do to the car? I wouldn't not even for $2000/day. So well, $1300 is alright seeing that you'd do the emergency brakes, skid pan etc...

IDT was real fun and you really take the 330s out.... Just the tires alone for the two days would set you back at least $1000, 17" PS2s.....

Yes its a lot, but its alot of fun too.....

The ADT is $845 for first owners of Bimmers bought from PML.

Re: PML Advanced Driver Training

i'd say, yes, ADT is worth it but.... not $1200 worth it... take the $$$, look for Omar, go drive some Lotus's around more shiok imho (my opinion onli of course)

wonder y they revised their prices by such a big margin

The Nuerburgring experience is actually stage 4 of the programme, so you'll still have to complete ADT and IDT (stages 1 and 2) before you qualify for stage 3 in Germany, which may/may not be held in Hockenheimring.

Stage 4 now uses the Z4M Coupe; I believe English-language courses are held only once a year, in the summer.

There are a dozen other BMW driving courses, including "travel" types (through parts of Italy in a convoy of Z4s :yummie: ), limo driver training, going offroad in Namibia in X5s, snow drifting in Austria, race bikes, Supermoto...

One alternative is to do what I did - hire a car and do your own 'Ring laps! :cloud9:
