PML service (lack of)... help

Sorry for ranting, but would appreciate some help here.

Wanted to send in my car servicing. My salesperson recommended Andre at Kampong Arang. Called him two weeks ago, and he said he will check on the parts, and call me when it arrives for a service appointment.

Called him yesterday, and he promptly told me that he's resigned. What's more, he hasn't logged in my request for a service appointment.

In frustration, I called the main service line, and no one picks up the phone two days in a row?

What ......?

Anyone has such ridiculous experience? Never had such treatment from Premium when I had my A4 before....

What do you do to secure a simple appointment?

Is your car still under warranty ? If not, why bother with PML. I've only read good things about the private garages on this site, and I myself can highly recommend Riverview. They did my recently aquired e46 quickly, efficiently and at the right price.

Re: PML service (lack of)... help

Ha ha.... yes my car is under warranty -- it's

Re: PML service (lack of)... help

DriveALLDAY, take comfort that you are not alone. Many of us are suffering the same fate. The sad fact is that I don't see PML making any effort to improve. I used to get better service from Borneo Motors and I wasn't driving a Lexus.

Re: PML service (lack of)... help

Hey why buy from PML if you can self import the car or maybe get a parallel importer to do so for you? Be done with the crap attitude and ridiculous mark ups! LOL :D

Re: PML service (lack of)... help

Thanks for the kind words. Brandons, have you tried self importing? Who what where how?

Have been thinking of self-importing Boxster for the longest time, just have no clue how to do it. Think about it: take the US retail price as OMV, slap on Singapore taxes & COE, and add generous few thousands for shipping & insurance, and you are still talking about $200K. Porsche selling them $300K....

Back to the issue of pml... definitely puts a damper on my enthusiasm for the car... hope buyer's remorse doesn't set in

Re: PML service (lack of)... help

I had no problems when I set up the appointment. Called 1st thing on Tuesday (3 Jan)morning as they were closed New Year's eve and Monday. Got an appointment for Wednesday on an emergency basis.

Anwar's back at KA. He handled the whole problem with my ride quite well, call me early to tell me that repair will not be ready in early afternoon as parts will only be in at 6pm. Today he call before lunch to tell me car's ready and what was done, I go down after lunch, collected car. No problems.

Only gripe was they (I believe the techs) topped up a bit of petrol because it was low. Probably due to them turning on the air-con, test driving, etc. I believe they put in approx 6 litres and they charged me $17, that's almost $3/litre!

Re: PML service (lack of)... help

trust me anwar is rubbish i tried him b4 n all he gave was excuses u shld give sebestian a try his at pml leng kee he will listen n solve your problems

Re: PML service (lack of)... help

the last time sebastian was helping me, it wasn't good either. they said that my e46 oil consumption was faster than normal. Need further diagnostics. Send it back a few days later for further diagnostics and they told me no problem. I got charged 600 bucks for nothing.

You should concern not only the CSA, but the mechanics behind the CSA. For mine, I believe that the mechanic made wrong diagnostics.

After all, they are all the same.

Re: PML service (lack of)... help

If your care is not any longer under warranty from PML, why not go to an independent garage ? PML seems to not have a good reputation for service and their prices I hear a absurd. Try Riverview. Good service, the right parts, good attitiude.

Re: PML service (lack of)... help

Thanks for the kind words.

Again, my car is only 3 mths old, so definitely WAY WITHIN WARRANTY. So have to stick to pml for the time being.

After the positive comments on Anwar from some members, I shall try and be patient, and give Anwar another benefit of doubt...

Missed Premium Auto service for my ex-Audi. Must say they really took good care of the car and the customer.

wah dude... if u have all the time in the world to fill up the paper work and all that other shit and wat not... customs to clear and stuff.. then u'll save alot of moolah, but then again too much time and tedious. this was wat my dad told me when he did it once b4 eons ago.
Best is to find a PI or broker who will do it for u, u'll for sure see alot of price diff too. Anyways, just my 2 cents.

Hi Shaaz

Thought so too. I knew there was a catch somewhere!
