Poor FM reception on BMW original professional radio

My BMW radio suddenly experiencing very poor reception. Any bros have similar encounter before can advise? Lifespan of radio gone?

hmm... was hoping to get some constructive feedback from bros here rather than just from individuals who merely wants to clock posts without any value add... this forum became like this after a few months?

thanks bro.. will check this out. didn't meddle with Ipod stuffs for a while.. have switched to Android since...

If car got good sound system, why need radio? IPOD FTW.

Have you tried changing to some other channels? I have some stations clearer and some are really full of static. I attribute it to the radio stations and location where I am at. Unless all stations are the same.

There's not much anyone can do except to change your antenna in the sharkfin if you have it? I gave up trying to get good reception radio on my car.

Have you tried changing to some other channels? I have some stations clearer and some are really full of static. I attribute it to the radio stations and location where I am at. Unless all stations are the same.

Same lo. I somehow think its not a problem with the car but with the broadcasting stations.

You know...if u did a search in our forum..you will find that this is NOT a new problem... It took me TWO minutes to do a simple search using keywords like "radio reception" and "F30 radio"...and I got these...simple right?..and u want constructive comments? How about discussing FC while we are at it?

On my car, Kiss92 is always a bit stereo in a bad way... occasionally a few words will come only from the left, then switches to the right etc. But only for one station so it's not the sound system.

In other news, Red FM from Malaysia is pretty good except for the DJs' command of English

my old car had terrible reception too. I just changed the car. kept the antenna soundwerkz told me antenna no problem.

Back to topic, I think certain stations have stronger signals in different areas. For example, I used to plug my iPod via FM transmitter tuned to a frequency that was supposedly station-less (107.8 or something, can't remember). But sometimes when I drive on AYE Bukit Merah I get a sudden burst of music that overrides the in-car iPod FM transmitter. So maybe you just need to drive around and find out the best location to receive your preferred station. Who knows, maybe FC will improve too!

oh wow thanks for that! I always been wondering why kiss92 sometimes cuts off in my car sometimes. Because the other stations don't. just kiss92. Thanks!
