I'm not sure if this is a good indicator but I noticed PML cars do not show both MPH and KMH on their speedo, only PI cars do.

Can anyone verify this please?

See what specs you get from pml and check against what the car actually has. Screen size, auto close boot, sound twitters, edc etc. Fuah if thru both are from pml, kinda clear choice isn't it? Just check no accident.

How to check if this car has been in an accident?

PI or pml, best is check sgcarmart for gauge.

from pml... regretted the buy... nothing but a pain in the arse
1) throttle delay issue - fixed wih software update
2) iDrive unstable - partially fixed with new software..
3) steering wheel grinding sound - unresolved

Positive. PML cars only have km/h. Usually PI cars come from uk which have both. But there is also some PI cars from hk which only have km/h.

How to check if this car has been in an accident?

Bring to workshop u trust... That's what I'd do.

This is what I'm afraid of also.

The unit I'm looking at has clocked only 4000km+, it is around 9 months old. I wonder why is the owner selling the car so soon? Could it be a lemon? :|

Not neccessarily true.... Some owners have multiple cars.... So log very few miles.

But no harm paying to get it inspected and verified.

Bro, not really - my F02 just turned 15 months - and I have clocked 6500kms to date. When the second car comes onboard, I'll average about what, 3500-4000km per car per year? I can promise, I didn't tweak the odometer hor!
