Hi guys my rear power windows wont go down at all ! Used the switches from the gear area and the ones on the door itself but nothing ! Help !

Maybe the power window motor is kaput already. Need to change the motor.

Get a used one from Propel lah that will solve ur problem hehehehhe

are u talking bout both or only one rear window?if one then if u got some tools u may wanna reposition a magnet ring in the motor(acts like a sensor) inwards towards the motor shaft,check ur white plastic(2 off) holding the glass for out of position....or alternatively do power window reprogramming by pushing the power window buttons for 10 secs.....if too busy send the car in.

E36 coupe, repositioning back the magnet ring in the motor would be too advanced for him to do but i do believe thats the cause heheheh cause the motor unlikely to get burned offf......unless he's willing to strip them himself hehehehhe....

i had a problem wif my driver side window,it would inch its way up or down and eventually the motor died on me; re-positioned magnet in the motor(10th time in 3years),changed the white plastic slider(popped out initially) to no avail...so i was convinced that the motor need to be put to rest.....so i went down to Eng Soon and got myself a new motor,installed it myself and nowwwww the window regulator(scissors) one of its end keep popping out....spent about a day figuring out wats the problem,lost my patience,i was thinking to myself...buy a window regulator?(scissors) not yet,one last resort......used my lifeline...... i called a 'friend'?....MR TAN (hp:90069797),and he came down wif his mobile workshop...he hammered one end of the 'scissors',adjusted the window to outboard side....and wala!.....window fixed!....and the cost,peanuts! So guys & gals....morale of the story is ,if u have a window problem....u either fix it urself or call MR TAN...24hrs stby....his motto is 'salvage & cheap'....i'm a very happy customer....i strongly recommend him to u people....tried,tested & verified! so cheers u people...i'm gonna scrub my car now...my greasy handprints are all over e car.Gd day!

what luck.. BOTH windows at the same time! it appears that theres a relay located on the window motor that tends to die...so that might be the prob lor..

to be honest, servicing the motor isnt difficult... but if u're replacing the whole assembly, the "scissor" mechanism may be a pain to get out..those German rivets are solid as hell, holding the damned assembly to the door itself! hehe...ask me how i know....

anyway, i got a used assembly from propel, and its solved the prob for 2 yrs already...

hope rssid gets his problem fixed..

Hmmm.. my driver window so far being working fine.. just the other 3 which doesn't work at all. Maybe should spend some time to look at it next opportunity.
