Do you want to just play music from iPod? or you want handphone functions connection?

If it'smusic (and no iDrive display), it can be a simple $60 to $70 original APPLE cable connection to AUX. If you want chargine, then that APPLE cable can be connected into a lighter-hole charger.

End result is you have a normal 30-pin APPLE plug for your ipod - music direct to AUX and charging possible.


I have an elaborate E60 multimedia setup from Kelvin (Soundwerke). You can have a look if you want. http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/soundwerkz/70711-e60-full-multi-media-mod.html. Have been enjoying the set-up since I got it two months back.


Kelvin's service response speed is bad. Very bad. But the product he uses are good. All professionally designed for specific model of BMW.

2005 e60 got no AUX in...

By the way, can the browsing be done via iDrive? I drive an e60 2005 and there is a 6 CD changer but does that mean there is an Aux in somewhere?

Me am on same set up as yours...the browsing is done on my ipod touch..cant browse on my idrive..but screen will show aux in...they will add in the aux in port for you..well hidden ..for me, this set up is more then enough..place is at kaki buki rd 2...

Speaking of diamond shaped car keys... I saw the conversion remote key on taobao.com and eBay a month ago. Was quite keen till..... My interest die off. Hahaha
