Re: Proposed ministerial pay formula "flawed": Workers' Party

Speaker of Parliment is paid highly to compensate the hardship & suffering endured to stay awake during the parliment session....Who knows there may be a girl hidding underneath his altar-like podium..

This line from SPP Mrs Chiam, I am totally in agreement.

"If the government's decision is still to match ministerial pay to the top earners of the private sector, their measures of accountability and KPIs must also match the "rigour of the private sector."

Everyday work like hell and the only enjoyable time we have is to get in our strawberry BWM and enjoy the ride.. other than this nothing is enjoyable.. having sex also stress.. sleep also cannot sleep properly , scare tomorrow wake up late for work cos of flooding or too many non true singaporeans driving cars and jam the road.. living in singapore is worst than hell..

British PM vows crackdown on executive pay - Yahoo!

Reading news like this makes me fumed about our own govt.

Elsewhere, the Brit govt is clamping down on fat cats' salaries and swear to bring excessive renumeration to an end. Over on this island, the govt is continuing to pay themselves obscenely and in almost unquantifiable terms. 'Fat-cat salaries are good!' - it is as if these words are written on all the ministers' foreheads.

Have we (a small island) lost touch with the rest of the world? Is our govt moving with times? Are they still in touch with reality of what is happening to mandates of other governments? PAP knows they cannot stand alone on this in the world. When PM goes to APEC or other world summits, his salary will stick out like a sore thumb. It will be the viral topic of discussion among world leaders. Perhaps not publicly (who other spore gives a f*** about spore politics honestly) but behind closed doors. Our ministers' salaries are creating 'red eyes' among other politicians. Nobody might care before 2008. Times are different now - if you are paid excessively, critics will hound you directly or indirectly. I think PM/SM/MM knows that in their minds.

Another former MP demonstrates her stupidity by taking an obviously satirical article seriously

[wols?] Former MP Lim Hwee Hua takes an article by The Onion seriously - www.hardwarezone.com.sg

Said article: Obama Openly Asks Nation Why On Earth He Would Want To Serve For Another Term | The Onion - America's Finest News Source

Really shows that this former MP just takes whatever news that supports her own views, without any critical thinking...or even reading it.

That's why she no longer in para......let us sit back and see what they are doing for the next 5 years before the GE....see any pattern more than badminton or not.

Frankly speaking, I start to respect our PM, a man of words so far.........just think what he has done for the past months......it is not easy to control so many 'old birds' inside the same cage, but good to remove them to start afresh. knn, still can not accept kate spake.....knn....and the worse thing, my OC still said she wants me to buy one for her if I visit USA , knn.....knn.....
