Protecting the roof/car with cameras

Hi

(1) Come Tuesday I am going to own my first bmw! I notice for soft top, it is very vulnerable to vandalism. Is there a good way to prevent it from happening when parking in public?

(2) For cameras, I understand the trend in SG is to install a dashboard camera to protect yourself. Where is a good place with reasonable price to install and also, how many do you guys installed?

(3) As for the BMW logo, where do I get the B/W BMW logo?

Hopefully some experience Z4 owners can help out with these, or just about any bmw owners! Thanks.

Re: Protecting the roof/car with cameras

Welcome bro,

Yes soft top is the most vulnerable. I would suggest to be more selective in the parking spots. free from smoking/smokers areas. Or tress, bird's droppings are a nuisance as well.

Cameras, quite easy and not much to stray. most of the site sponsors do it here.

BMW black and white? easy to find. even on ebay. question is if you want the CF look =). Quite easily found and done in the forum. just do a search and the sellers will pop up =)

Enjoy your soft top experience =)

Re: Protecting the roof/car with cameras

Actually, the best protection is proximity sensor + barking sound (for alarm). I am serious hor.

Get Viper alarm.

Nothing beats the annoucement when you go near it "STAND BACK, VIPER ON"

Some cars come with shock sensors which can act as a deterrent. Only issue is that the sensors might trigger during heavy thunderstorms.

"The idea of a shock sensor is fairly simple: If somebody hits, jostles or otherwise moves your car, the sensor sends a signal to the brain indicating the intensity of the motion. Depending on the severity of the shock, the brain signals a warning horn beep or sounds the full-scale alarm."

Shock sensor no use lah.

For proximity sensor, no one can get close to your car. To top it all, it must be 2 way.
