Hi all,

Would like to hear views on whether such systems (diamondbrite, toughseal etc. etc.) actually work? or are u better off spending the $$ on own grooming products. Any views and recommendations?

Thanks

my humble experience tells me that all those pps are simply a better term for the normal grooming products. nothing can last so long in our type of climate. just go with the usual suspects like autoglym, zaino, meguire's and i am quite sure you can't go too far off. i send for grooming once every 3 months and for the past 3.5 years, the paintwork remains good.

I hear you Bro!! I hear you!! The rate for such a system is really high - was quoted something like $670 for medium size saloon!!..and that's for only initial visit! Can share which groomer u go to and what is the cost? (PM me if not convenient). Thanks for your sharing.

yes. not worth it. those pps normally dun last as claimed. pray tell how can anything withstand the power bird shit attack? :)

i go to groomwerks.

agreed with chershen. save the money and go for more frequent polishing. keeps your cars body good as new.

the pps that i've used is a so called 'nano' system. done for my previous ride and for 18 months, only normal plain water washing daily by bangala, and the paintwork still perfect with the water still beads nicely. sold my car for a wowo and done it with the same pps immediately but nvr got a chance to experience it as the car sucks and let go within 5 mths.

i applied this on my recent e60 as well. y i do it? becos i believe this pps works and save me the trouble for polishing and waxing again.

if you detail your car twice a year, it should be suffice for your exterior paint

Re: Protection systems for New car paintwork - any recommendations?

Zaino it 4 times a year with regular daily/weekly washing with water.

Nothing beats regular grooming!

Re: Protection systems for New car paintwork - any recommendations?

Tried this "Glass" product from Cazcomp in Simon Road. So far 4 months already. More bird shit resistant than Zaino or Mirage (both also from Cazcomp) which I used previously. But as you say, cost is $600+. I simply don't have time to bring it in 4 times a year and have a Bangla at my car park wash every day.
