Hi Guys,

i am on RE-01R and they are exceeding my expectation. The other setback is the high level road noise, especially when cornering. They glued to the ground but much noiser than on straight road. Do you all have the same experience?

Deadkobra answer is no 245/35 275/30 only and for 18in and above are not available locally either...speak to Dave, he can sort you out

These tires dont hv as many grooves as other street tires u might hv seen so higher noise level is expected

For 19inch they only manufacture 245/35/19 and 275/30/19..

My two cents is that they are noisy in all conditions, including straight line.

They seem to only be carried by Bridgestone dealers who carry their run flats -- not all of the tyre shops do. I got mine from Chin Wah on Killiney Road.

I got mine from Poh Heng at AMK.

He dun have, but when i called and ask, he said he will look, call me the next day and i changed to the tires that evening.

I got mine from Southeast at Ubi.

Indeed noisy but they glue like super glue esp cornering. Fun to have them.

For those who run on 18 n below and wish to find a highly streetable R Compound tires but not too noisy can try Falken RT615. Its tread rating is slightly higher than RE01R and probably priced cheaper as well. I have had em on my previous STi and currently on my 1-er...love it.

How does Falken RT615 compare to PS2 ?

Apparently they dont come in 19s ? Falken Tire &^##%&((&^$@^*

As far as grip n traction are concerned, RT wins hands down vs PS2...no contest
in actual fact, RT is considered track tire but aint quite a full blown semi-slick like PS Cup or Toyo R888

I read the website n saw the tyre at stamford. It feels hard, and reviews says its noisy n uncomfortable.

Just bought a 2 year old e60 with Continental Sport Contact 2 tyres on it since new. It is quite bumpy. I like to change it soon. Any idea if the Goodyear F1 Assymetric or Michelin PS 2 or CSC3 tyres are better in grip/comfort ride?

Go for the new Goodyear Assy F1 for the best combination of comfort and grip. It is better than ps2 in the rain. Conti 3 is noisy if the road is not very smooth.

I wasn't so keen on Continental tyres anyway, more so after another mercedes owner showed me his 2 of his continental tyres hardening up on some rainy occasions causing problems.
