Psi for 19" staggered rims

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

On my door .... For 17 & 18 inch tyres it's staggered pressure. For 19" its squared.

Tried it .... Liked it best - Squared @ 250 as per what's on the door.

Depends on what u mean by maximum performance. On some of the pro forums, they are recommending square setups and have proven with faster timings. (Less understeer if u wanna know why)

For braking and maybe acceleration, wider is better. (Acceleration is subjective. If u are not losing grip, wider just adds to ur rolling resistance thus lowering acceleration)

Never driven a staggered rims car b4...
Front: 235/35R19
Rear: 265/30ZR19

So what is the actual amount of psi required for front and rear... was told 240 front and rear but find it too soft:huhhuh:

When cold ~
Front : 260
Rear : 280

When hot ~
Front : 280
Rear : 300

Cheers ~~

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

You should have the profile by the side of your drivers side door..

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

If your ride is boosted/tuned and carries high torque, example a boosted 335 running 500-600 NM torque, it only makes sense to not to over-inflate the rear. The rear should have lower PSI figures than the front.

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

Normal driving we are talking about.
If you go track then you want to lower the pressure for sure. The high speed will increase pressure and you want the grip.
Best is to try till you find the best feel for yourself.
Happy driving.

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

Personal experience, street driving. Wheel spun, lost some grip. Then again, I am always heavy footed.

Car was planted around corners after the rears are slightly under-inflated.

Tyre was PSS.

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

I m also keen to know as I am on the same spec profile as TS,some says up to 280psi some says 230psi and the range is wide. With regards the info on drive door does not apply. Guru pls further advise, recommended pressure for daily drive and long distance drive
Front: 235/35R19
Rear: 265/30ZR19

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

As mention in the replies earlier , there is no one single pressure that suits all so try playing around with the pressure to find your own sweet spot. Otherwise follow the chart on your B pillar.

I think u meant kpa. Tire pressure very personal, and depends on what you want them to do. If you don't know what you want, stick to recommended ratings.

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

230 front and 250 rear... so far no uneven tire wear, sidewall crack, etc...

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

Hearsay the sweet spot is statistically between 38-41psi after heating up .....

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

Please also take into account the kind of tyres you are using too. The hardness of the sidewalls on flexing and deflection play a part on the optimal tyre pressure to be used.

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

Running square 235/40/19 PSS w 250kpa cold.
Daily 60km round commute w 80% ECP will warm to 260-275.

Comparing B'stone S001 vs PSS (smaller 225/45/17's) .
B'stone nothing more than 220-225 where as PSS 240 ok.

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

Wonder if anyone has experience on Vredestein tyre? Can share?

Re: Psi for 19" staggered rims

Thought I contribute another point.
I just bought a set of 4 lock screws from PML costing more than $100 - just to protect my wheels from being stolen.
Worthwhile investment if you fit ex-ex rims. BM used to be fitted with it but now no more.
