Puddle Lights on the Door Handle

Just checked with PML and was informed that the puddle lights on the door handle which comes with Light Package can't be retrofitted.:angry:

It seems that PML is always saying no to everything.

Can retrofit the paddle shift? PML : No

Can retrofit the chair lumbar support? PML : No

Can program for auto fold for the side mirror? PML : No

They are nuts....:screwedu:

Any advice where I can get it done?

Not meant to be a PML bashing post.

Merely a small stab at them just for fun . You're right, they are not a mod shop.

Any idea where these type of mod can be done?

probably loads of guys can do it

check the "workshops and help" function at the top of the page

maybe J4C or BVO?

Most pro you need to upgrade to the handles with the lights and then reprogram?

Unless you change whole steering wheel la...

Can retrofit the chair lumbar support? PML : No
Usually unless you change/upgrade to retrofit its not possible, PML is not mod shop

Can program for auto fold for the side mirror? PML : No
Unless you upgrade your side mirrors to the foldable ones. if not, re program also no use what. You need the mechanism inside the mirror to enable it to fold..

ALL mods listed CAN be done..maybe its the way your questions are asked? Usually give NO answers.

Go check with Mike SWC..

With regards to PML, another amusing thing happened sometime back. Was just enquiring with the parts department about the cost for installating the Bluetooth handsfree during one of their new-owner introduction night (as they had 20% discount for parts on that night).

They informed me that they can't be sure how much it cost as the parts involved is different for different spec'd car, but I would have to made full payment that night to enjoy the 20% discount. Hmmm...........

With regard to that, you can tell them you enquire but they can't give you answer how to make decision? SO maybe you can try to negotiate with them on the discount if you want it.

Just an alternative on the bluetooth. I bought this recently and it's really easy to operate. If you need a GPS, this would be a great combination. If you think it takes up unnecessary space, some workshops might fit it nicely in your dash or something...

she bought a Garmin Nuvi 660 for S$720 which I can get for $400-450. no heart to tell her...i had volunteered to look for a Nuvi and ship it back for her...

am i right to say this is the first vehicle you bought from PML ?

i look over the options list of my car for 3 days and 3 nights before i signed the purchase agreement.

you just got wiser from a lesson in life.

Darth Vader, I was in the same boat like you (besides being in the Dark Side of the force), poring through the spec sheet before deciding. And even thinking of getting PML to indent the car for me. But alas the cost just sky-rocketed.....so I settled for the 323i Highline.

Initial must haves for the car was : Active Steering, Active Cruise Control, Adaptive Headlights, Moon-roof, iDrive, Navigation, Lumbar support, ventilated seats etc ...basically the whole option lists

At least with the Highline I got iDrive and Navigation. Ha ha ...

Actually I did not know about the Light Package, I thought the Highline will have them. Oh well.....like you said, you learn from life experiences.
