Qns on 'jerk' on the car when accelerating

Hi

Now i noted that sometime. sometime when on normal driving and stepping on the accelerator gently and not flooring. Will feel the car will have 'jerk' effect. Like no power like that. Then i release the accelerator and step on it again. It will be ok liao. no problem or wat.

Wat can be the issue? Have checked the ATF and the solenoid for the gear box 2 months back.............

mileage is ard 118k.....

You encounter this only when engine is cold right? First 10 min of your drive?

Mmm. spark plug changed at last servicing. So cant be. ignition cable have to check............

engine cold or not not too sure. i have to monitor it to confirm. Think it happen ard 10-15min after in the morning. have to monitor if evening drive home will have or not.......

Check at the WS for misfiring .......

Most probably it will happen after vehicle rest for long period e.g overnight or leave office after work (4-5 hours). At constant speed of 50-60km/hr and moderate acceleration, rpm will erratic at between 1500 to 2000. This is the time u feel the vehicle jerks/vibrates but release accelerator n step harder again the jerks/vibration will be gone. Similar?

yup yup. think its about this situation..... Did some read up. Izzit the gearbox dun know the term. wat plate 'up lorry' and need to be changed??

I only encounter that when the engine is cold but it goes off after a while. For me, its the thick engine oil I have 5W50. Not sure if you encounter this after oil change?

2 reputable workshop said is a transmission issue.
A workshop suggested a overhaul and B workshop is a valve body issue.

I can confirmed that the basic solenoids, ATF n filter replacement + adaption reset will not address this issue.. So pls dun waste $$.

I strongly believe is the valve body aka mechatronics issue as the problem only happen once or twice in my first 15 min drive. Subsquently I dun feel it anymore..

If it is a fiction plates is wears, it should happen throughout the drive not just the when the vehicle is cold or first 10 to 15 min drive.

By the way I do not any encounter any fault code, therefore is much more difficult to troubleshoot..

Most probably I will bite the bullet n get the valve body replace after CNY.

Thanks for sharing..... I suppose I'll have to do something similar pretty soon.

Mind sharing which workshop do you have in mind to get it done & any idea what would be the damage? (PM perhaps?)
