Where did you get the dongle that can do the coding?

I have a normal/cheap WiFi dongle and will test this evening when I leave office.

bro, for my e60 remote, if I press n hold on to lock button, windows will fold up and side mirror will fold too.

maybe u can try urs.

btw, according to the coding list, folding can be coded.

I tried BMWhat Lite (free version) out with my cheap ELM327 wireless dongle and it seems to work great on my E89 Z4. Looking at the compatibility charts this app seems to be better equipped for the later E-series vehicles than newer F-series, which is good cos I believe a lot of people are dying to code their E60, E90 mirrors to fold on key lock, etc.

But before I make a $60 app purchase, I'd like to test at least one coding function. Any bros would like to meet? I stay in Bukit Panjang. Please text/whatsapp me 9008 2997 Justin.

FYI, my dongle looks exactly like weesir's pic above and I've used that same dongle with other ELM compatible OBD apps on my other cars with great success (was going up to the track in Sepang with that connected + my phone in my Subaru). The only trouble is that the connector is L shaped and I had to get an extension adapter to fit cars like the E90 3-series and my E89 Z4.

There's also cheaper ELM327 adapters, specifically one that's a single unit (with no wire) and has a blue and orange sticker. Don't buy those. I bought one and it's crap.

Only S$11.63 and still free shipping. How come?

BTW, my side mirrors folds with the remote lock. And, if I lock with the fold (holding on to lock) then when I unlock with remote now it will wind down all windows. Can it be set to only unfold side mirrors and not wind down the windows?

Yeikes that's the one that I said sucks...

While reading and clearing errors are easy things, I wouldn't try coding with that. One wrong move and it would brick your car. I suggest we buy the better dongle from the guys who make the app.

I think yes, you can disable the comfort close and leave the comfort mirror fold enabled.
