Dear all,
Just to share the change of color of my BMW at one of our site sponsor’s spray paint workshop.
Following the forum regulations, I am not supposed to post name of workshop or price, if u wanna know, just PM me will do.
Things I am happy about:
The paint job is very well done~! To me it looks flawless and gives me the brand new car feeling.
I have also requested for all chrome parts to be sand down and spray to gloss black.
Additionally my chrome on the wheels has been changed to body color.
Why I choose to spray with them:
When I was at the workshop, they quoted me slightly more expensive compared to the few workshops I have been to. I almost wanted to leave but was later convinced that it’s worth it.
They have assured me that they have done a lot of BMWs and most cars that I saw at the workshop were also BMW including a M3.
So I am actually paying a bit more for their experience and service and assurance that they can remove all clips and screws without damaging the car and clips. This answers my concern as I am worried that other workshop might damage my clips where they would glue it back without me knowing and for which I might never know at all.
The duration took for my car was 12 days, partly due to their busy schedule but worth the wait thou.
Additional things i have included:
i bought new signal lights, rubber seals and BMW front and rear emblem and the M sportec rear bumper with diffuser in gun metal color
Please see pics below for the process. Taken using my iPhone 4S
the start process of sanding down the paint and smoothen the surface.
took the longest time ever where the actual spraying is very fast.
every possible area has to be changed to white including the internal area.
gives the factory fitted color looks.
final product looks.
planning to do some light stickers soon
