since got electric motor to subsidize the power no need high octane ma

PML charge by the hour, very fair one.
Yah, PML takes much longer than everyone else to do the same job. That's why more expensive. PML is best the bestest. MW say one.

FC very respectable at 8km/L with a "I wanna chiet Sonatas" attitude. With a lighter right foot, can achieve 12km/L. My kiam kena friend always pump ron92, no problem so far.

wt_know, this is indeed best price. Same average depre with my 2.5 yr old 335 (and this F10 is only 10 months old), and it has high COE too.....
MTL, sell ur ride and change to this!

anyway, depends how you see it la ... newly bought at $270k+ (i estimated, b4 arf rule changed)
10-12 months probably depreciate $25k+ ... the price is ok but not cheap
huge part of the cost goes to the 1st dealer $60K-$70k+ and 2nd dealer $20K+ (current sales)

Cannot compare like that. Merc is, for the sake of generalisation, associated with two or more generations gone by whereas BMW has been recently and consistently the top or one of the top brands globally - that is why XMMs love the blue and white logo like they adore their Birkins and Bottegas. Hence, the chances of a hot date "getting out of hand" in the BMW in a car park after a nice dinner and some wine, versus the chances in other makes, are quite varied. On a similar note, why do people pay much more for an entry Lexus IS250 than a highest spec Toyota Mark X, even though the MX was the base platform for the GS? There are many things in life that we cannot attempt to apply a price premium on.
When it comes to the serious matters, like putting wrong spec oil into certain generations of engines, etc, you can be sure that we will accord them full attention and with whatever avenues of restitution we have available to us if found deliberate. On the other hand, I think we have better things to do in life than to waste bandwidth over depreciation rates between brands that appeal to different market segments, fuel economy of this and that car and how we step or don't step the accelerator (just take the bus!), how expensive cakes that are served for "free" are, which RON petrol is better, whether we want to race a AMG-plastered E250 cab on public roads, the list goes on and on....
No offence, but life is short. Just enjoy it.
