Recommedation Workshop for Claim

A bad day due to a lady driver... got hit on the side. I know PML gotta takes alot longer to repair my car so I might go for other reliable workshop that specialise with BMW. Any good workshop to recommend ? What car does the workshop provide as replacement car ? I'm currently driving E60.

Just spoke to Mike..... I might have to pay for the repair as according to mike its 50/50 chances to claim the other party insurance.

I was driving at 2 lane road, there was a bus, stopped at the left side and a car behind the bus. The car steer to right and hit my ongoing car at straight road. Anyone have similiar incident b4 ?

side by side collision is always 50/50 claim , unless u have a 3rd party witness...

Seems to me u shld be sure win...... becoz u r travelling straight.
If i'm not wrong, turning vehicles sure lose out to vehicles goin straight......

mike is right.
last yr, my gf car got swiped by the side by a incoming lorry (side mirror flew off, with scratches on the doors). on the spot, he said hes in the wrong, offer to claim his insurance. after a few days, apparently he went back on his word, claim my gf car swerved out also, and AIG couldnt pursue due to side by side collision. 50/50 solution...

Hi guys,

I also had a similar accident two weeks back.. This is how it happened: I was travelling through Yishun st81, a single lane two way road, at that point of time, there was a mini van stopping at road side, so I was passing through it..suddenly a lady's car coming out from side road crashed into the right rear wheel, damaging the sports rim and scratching the surrounding. So basically I was the main roader user, and she was from side road, for this case, how big is the chance to claim from her insurance coz my insurance is only third party. many thanks for reply!

if its anything other than being rear ended, i think it is very hard to prove fault on the other party without an independent witness... just my 2 cents.

Old ride got sideswiped by a bus. Also 50-50... Went to Mike, he helped me settle, with lawyer's letter.

A Side swipe is always a 50/50 case unless u can produce an independent witness for u.
However, looking at the picture, I think the chances of u making a claim is pretty high if u r contesting the claim.
Why? Her front hit into your side. It is not a side to side swipe. She will have to come up with quite a good story to prove that u swerve into her lane.
Tell the investigator that if that is really the case...look at the angle....ur car will probably end up on the curb of the road...which is not the case.
Make sure your surveyor take pics for your car and if possible, the other party's car before u guys repair the vehicles.

It always suck when someone knocks into u and later turn around to bite u!!! :furious:

Guys, I think the best thing we can do is to NOT move the car at all, get down and photogrph and film everything on our hand phone. Try to get a witness if possible. There's no telling what the other party will say to his/her insurance company.

The most ridiculous case that ever happened to me was a few years ago. I was parallel parked behind a a school bus when he reversed into me. My headlamps was all smashed and the driver came down and admitted it was his fault. He then offered me S$100 to settle! When I told him that the cost will be a lot more - he turned around to say that I should just take his money or else he will report that I drove into him. That ^%$^hole said that hitting him at his back is already a sure thing that the TP will fault me! I was fuming and wished I had taped down everything that he said. BUt what choice was I left with???

I am still mad whenever I think of that incident!
