Hey bro nighthawkcity, those r the rims. 250 bucks vs forge at 850 bucks. The choice is clearly a cost one for me. Havent reach that income level yet to spend that amt on just rims.

Why need to change rims? Isn't the original 17" rims good enough?

I guess to each his own. Been running on 18 inches n like the grip. Dun realli like the run flats. Am comfy with the grip n brake dist of ps3 tyres.

i changed my rims at top 93, replica of VMR v710, love the design, have been waiting for vmr v710 but no stock. looks 99.9% like vmr v710.

I feel my selection of crimson red needs black rims..
I think midnight blue need not change..

Agree with u. Some colours, the oem alloy rims seem abit out but again is personal subjectivity. I think 18 inch is gd compromise for better looks n grip. Think my mineral grey suits black rims too?

Mineral grey I personally think both types of rims can
But black fiercer.. Haha

Tyres is really diff to select. I currently using Toyo T1R.
It good, but abit pricey. And after I got the tyres, than I realise I over-kill it, as it a track tyres. Haha..
I heard that Conti tyres is relatively good. Not too sure about it.

Depends on rim width you plan to set it with.
Also staggered or not?

Asking noob question here, any clear cut proven benefits in terms of grip and breaking distance for staggering tyres?

Braking distance depends on design and compound makeup. Nothing to do with staggering.

Staggering supposed to improve handling and traction. However, I don't really feel it coz I swapped out of stock almost immediately after getting the car.
But the most benefit is in the looks department.

It has even made some who upsized but didn't stagger now considering staggering just for the looks.

Is stagering LTA legal or at own risk? Fuel economy down slightly?

Illegal if your wheels sticks out further than your rear fender.

If you worry about FC, you shouldn't be driving a bimmer

always look fiercer if staggered..
take a look at a cheetah before pouncing.. staggered setup..
