Hi all

I recently just renew COE for a 10yr BMW e90 320i. The mileage was really low that is why i renew the COE. Only 49000km as the owner is always overseas.

Had send the car to a WS for servicing. Requested for them to use all original parts and they quote me the following. Just want to know if the price is reasonable thought i already did the work already LOL

1. Engine Oil Filter = $26
2. Engine Oil_S-Oil 7 5W40 (x5) = $110
3. General Service = $60

4. Valve Cover Gasket Set (Genuine) = $216
5. Valve Cover Gasket Labour = $120

6. Front Brake Pad (Genuine) = $230
7. Front Brake Disc Rotor (Genuine) (x2) = $380
8. Front Brake Pad Sensor = $40

13. Rear Brake Pad Sensor = $40
14. Brake Pad (Rear) Labour = $55
15. Brake Sensor Wire (Rear) Labour = $40 (Waive)

16. Front Shock Absorber Assembly (x2) = $320
17. Front Shock Absorber Mounting (x2) = $50
18. Front Shock Absorber Stopper (x2) = $60

26. Shock Absorber Stopper (Rear) Labour = $100 (Waive)

27. Wiper Nozzle Motor with Bushing = $140
28. Wiper Nozzle Motor Labour = $40

29. Aircon Freon Gas Top Up(R134a) (Total Refill) = $60

One last question. The person said Brake sensor wire always must change together with the brake pad. Is it true? i go no idea.

Total duration for work done is 7 days.

Thanks in advance for any response!

U have already did it then what’s the point? Hahaha just make sure they did a good job and enjoy the ride. But think u miss out something. Change gear oil and oil pan... that is impt. Already 10 years and wonder previous owner change before a not...

Just curious if the price is reasonable so next time when i go other WS will have a reference.

Thanks for highlighting on the gear oil and oil pan. Doubt the owner change.Cause when i took over the tyre still is the 10years ago one.

Btw what will be cost to change gear oil and oil pan?

Prices look ok for singapore workshop.
Change atf pan & oil.
Check engine oil sensor
Check engine valve seals
Enjoy your ride :)

As your car is 10years old. My opinion is to use better engine oil like Fuchs ... price different not much. But better performance

Labor charge close to 500 for all these works. I dun get that. 10 yr old tyre?!!
No idea lei why labour so much. Maybe they not bmw specialist. Ya 10yr old tyre when i took over. I check the tyre year and it year 08. After i took over i change the tyre to PS4. The previous owner always overseas and dont drive a lot. 10yrs only clock 49k km mileage. So i took over and renew coe.

7 days for that amount of work you mentioned is a joke. some pricing is on the high side...
forget about going to that ws.

what the TS did was too superficial! the jobs done were too simple! hoist it up, there are countless arms and brushes to be done for a 10yr old car..... mileage aside. the gb gaskets bottom gaskets etc!!( those were the hard jobs) any ws can also do what the ts mentioned! not to mention, run a full diagnostic test.

go Bavworks! thats my solution to u!
