Repair thigh support on driver and front passenger seats

Bought my car with driver side faulty. Workshop took it apart and realized cannot be repaired, and need to order the part. I'm still waiting for the part to arrive after the fault was found a month and half ago. Due to the fact that this is a lemon law claim, they take their own sweet time.
I saw the damage, and it cannot be repaired if the shaft is broken from the motor.
One of the cars i was considering before purchase had the same issue for driver side, and the salesman up front said he won't repair it. I think it's a rare and not so cheap part to order locally, but you can check online, esp the uk part stores.
