The Multi-Ministry Taskforce announced an elevated set of safe distancing measures, as a circuit breaker to pre-empt the trend of increasing local transmission of COVID-19, effective from 7 April to 4 May 2020 (dates inclusive). that aside from essential services, most businesses will be required to close from Tuesday, 7 April as a result of the escalation in cases of COVID-19 in Singapore.
