Right time to commit to a property now?

Currently the market seems unstable with lots of countries having financial problem & slow growth. The current property market is still on the high side so is it a right time to buy a property now? Or should I wait for the market to crash? Is the crash coming?

everyone tries to time the market but then when is really the right time? buy or commit if you can afford it. If this is your only property doesn't matter if it appreciates or not, u won't sell either way if u gotta stay in.

Cos this is my first property so thinking whether to buy BTO or EC or wait for the crash to buy private as intend to upgrade after sometime.

I'm waiting for the crash. There's no way it ain't coming - dunno what 50,000 homes in the pipeline, dunno what Euro-zone crisis, USA-post-erection crisis, China-slow-down crisis, Bank-stress-tess-downgrade-crisis ... it will come, it is coming.

Just dunno when...

If you already have a place to stay right now (parents, etc), stay put....

Buying hse at high price is ok but not at its peak unless i super like the hse.

is your choice. there is no good timing. New crisis emerge everyday, Good news & bad news also, got buyer sure got seller. just don't buy a haunted house...

ask seller sell cheap, call all the number on the wall & settle all the bills, the house will be in peace. - true story.

Bluff one ah, the number always not in use, until one of my friend lazy call police and leave the paint splash there , he say they pass your info to other ah long and still continue to harass like a never ending cycle

Euro and US facing are facing jobs recession... Quality ppl there are rushing to Asia, particularly Hong Kong and Singapore to look for jobs... These days expats even accept local terms... Sg govt still welcome FTs with open arms... FTs need a roof so they rent... Home owners got bulk of FTs to pay monthly installments for them...

In short, simi property bubble pop as for now... pop confetti or champagne at Galaxy Ultra is more realistic...

to me if you are ready means you are ready as there's no really a right or wrong time to buy......
buying for own stay or as an investment???

There is only one thing in Singapore that goes up and seldom come down, that's property prices.

Singapore still have room for 6-7 million population. By then, it will be higher.
