Hi all,

I cannot start a new thread so have to post here. I just got a new F30 320i, driving for less than a month. I noticed there are creaking sounds in the car interior whenever I drive over humps. It sounds like the seats/panels on the pillars are not secure. There is no sound otherwise when driving, very smooth and comfortable. Anyone has this problem? My previous 8 year old cheap jap car with 200k mileage also didnt have this problem, so I am a bit concerned.

Hi hfc13, I have this problem also with my seat. I'm 74kg though, so not sure if it is due to my weight. If you google, some people also may have this problem. I think you should go back to PML to get it fixed. I will go back during my servicing.

Hi all,

Try applying some leather moisturizer (normal skin moisturizer works for me too) on the part where your seat base meets the seat back, ie directly behind your Ka Chng when u are seated. Creaking noise likely coming from the leather rubbing against each other.

I don't think it has anything to do with your weight. it is there even when my wife drives, and my wife is lighter than us

my friend just told me his previous 5 series also had a similar problem. PML stuck some clear tape at the door frames. apparently the sound came from the plastic at the door frames. I think I will get it sorted out when I go back for servicing. Thanks for your suggestion, will try it later

Yes bro. Go back ask them stick the tape. Bt my seat also got leather bua leather sound. Bt after i appl leather care no more sound.
