Last two. Nice marketing effort but i still can't believe they actually included pics and writeups of their competitors (911 C2, RS4, CLK 63 AMG) in the brochure

That is what BMW wants us to think.

Ultimately it really depends on how PML prices it.
Will it be 350K or 400K (closer to C2S)?

PML needs to stop being greedy and arrogant, and price it below 350K otherwise it is going to flop. The only people who will get it over the 335i, RS4, or C2S are tech junkies or NA track junkies who have high sentimental regard for the M badge.

414bhp sub 5 sec ( seat 4 comfortably) u can get for 360k yes that is M3 indicative price from PML.
355bhp sub 5 sec too, u can get for a base model before mambo jambo specs at 410k from S.A

I know ... but isn't BMW making a mistake to tell him BMWers to consider Porsche also? Especially in Singapore they may be eaten alive in the high end.

Remember that the 911 C2 (base version) from stuttgart is only 370k and 5 sec in manual guise.

I would get either stuttgart C2 or stuttgart C2S or PI C2S or PI C2 over the e92 M3 if my budget fell between 350 - 450k. As i grow older, hp numbers, tech gizmos, and 0-100 mean less to me ... while steering feel, exhaust note, and weight, start to matter more.

The M is definitely more practical than the C2. But then again the people i most want to fetch in the car are my future kids so the rear seats of the C2 are sufficient .

If HP don't mean so much, why not take the gayman S? Engine placement better, lighter and on track confirm chop chop beat the C2 (non-S)

rear seats, aesthetics (love the big fat ass on the 911, hence my sig), exhaust note (subjective), diversity (had a boxster b4 and the cayman feels very similar), and i do not track. The cayman S with an lsd will be a great track machine.

good points and well taken. Though I'd not consider the 911 at all from the purely personal point of view. Regardless of cost.
