CNET recently reported that the iPhone 5 scores higher in benchmarks then the Samsung Galaxy S III. They reported that the Samsung Galaxy S III scored 1588 on geekbench and the iPhone 5 scored 1602. Well, these scores are NOT correct.

The iPhone 5 packs a Dual-Core Apple A6 Chip clocked at 1GHz whereas the Samsung Galaxy S III packs a Quad-Core Exynos 4412 Chip clocked at 1.4GHz. On the official Geekbench website the scores are a little different then the ones reported by CNET, The iPhone 5 scores 1590 and the Samsung Galaxy S III scores a whooping 1766.

Samsung Galaxy S III = 1766

Samsung has a killer sync software called Kies. It kills you.... always fail, need to reboot, takes 30 mins to sync compared to iTunes' 3 mins.

Never a Samsung again.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III crushes the iPhone 5 in benchmarks

one wonders how independent and reputable sammobile.com is compared to CNET.

Never use kies. There are many solutions to restore s3.. even easier than iTunes

IPhone lovers are not after tech specs.. it's the friendly usage and apps support that appeal to them

When apple was launched, it really change the whole smart phone game....but not anymore....samsung did a good job in coming up S version hp but they have some weaknesses....with the new generation of i5, apple will steal the show again....cos S3 is getting too big...S2 is just nice...but have a reboot problem ! Somehow it tends to reboot by itself....a common probelm faced by many.....

...KIES really pissess me offf@@@!!

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III crushes the iPhone 5 in benchmarks

Cnet was sued last yr for claiming the 4s battery life could last more than 12hrs of intensive usage....but in the end , battery life was the biggest issue and it takes apple more than a 2mths to release a app to solve the prob.So Cnet might have pocketed huge payout from apple for every release .So usually I don't take Cnet reviews seriously. Though I'm not a fan of Samsung product ,but I believe hardware wise, it's better than iPhone , but in terms of simplicity and stability , I still choose iPhone. And these blardy folks from apple certainly knows that as well ,hence they built a league of their own , jus like IMac vs Asus..when u buy IMAc, u don't compare to Asus spec, u compare those different model of iMac . But den again, they will fall like blackberry if they keep their arrogance and don't innovate more .

Personally I preferred the following 2ways:

The Easy Way:

There is an app from Google Play Store call Titanium Backup. Basically what this app does is to clone everything in your phone into a backup file. After that, you could save this backup file(big size at least 1Gb+) to the SD card or transfer to your PC.

BUT this app needs your smartphone to be ROOTED(jailbreak). Its very simple, PM me and I will share with you.

Now the Simple Way:

For Music, Video and Image files... You could simply connect your smartphone to your PC, copy and paste from your phone to PC like using USB thumbdrive.

For contact backup, go to Contacts in your smartphone, choose the 'import/export' option... export your contact list... save either on your SD card or transfer to your PC for safekeeping...

No Kies... No No No... all these are done in a snap of a FEW minutes only for me...

S3 ftw!!!!!!

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III crushes the iPhone 5 in benchmarks

Therein lies the answer: if you want to use Samsung, you need to play with a lot of Apps here and there. The official Samsung sync software called KIES is a whole @#$%&*.

iPhone: Unpack and use. One time right; first time right.

I like both phones! Each has its merits so please don't go bashing each other up.

Hi

Is there any auto-sync for S3's music player with my desktop music player (e.g. itunes, etc)? Or everytime i want to put music in my s3, i have to manually copy them into the s3?

I agree. Think everyone should just take a chill pill and not need to get too worked up and defensive (not referring to anyone specifi here... I have many friends all like that I and say the same thing).

End of day.. which ever phone you happy with.. just get that and smile when you see it. No need to be bothered about what others say.

Btw.. I am an APPLE and ANDROID (and SAMSUNG) Fan Boy :)

Different web sources will side different phones. ultimately the consumers have the biggest voice. I prefer the Samsung
