Screeching sound at steering wheel

Very pissed off now...... Steering wheel having this screeching sound as if it's totally not lubricated when I am turning... Kinda sound like " yiiii ohhhh. Yiii ohhh "

Going to bring back to PML and fix all the problem... Also all those rattling sound at the doors.

Any f20 drivers experience the same stuff?

Hi,

Rattling noise is common to most of us.....solved by PML with a anti friction sticker.

As for steering, seems like so far only yours.....

Be prepared for shitty service at PML.

They may keep your car for few days to try diagnose the problem......

Alternatively you can go Munich Auto. Same warranty is covered no headache of lousy service.

My personal experience.

Hi bro,same issue abt the door also. Wil b sending back when servicing also. So far so gd 4 the steering wheel. Cheers

Could be the steering sleeve. Not cheap.

Whatever the case is, they have to do something about it. And they better not charge me for some defect that their car has....

I might go to MA to have them check, will see what they say.

I will try to record a video if i can on the noise.

Was planning to bring in to PML today to fix the screeching sound but yesterday suddenly the screeching noise disappear.

Go there also dunno how to explain to them what the problem is...

I did suspect its some lubricating problem..

please check that the steering fluid reservoir is topped up.

Damn, now i have the same problem for my 3 months old ride. Sound from steering column too.
Till now have you guys gotthis iisue resolve by PML?

I was having that issue with the steering for about 2-3 weeks as i have no time to bring it in to have it checked. But when i have made plans to bring it in, the issue disappeared itself.

Hope it does re-occur again.

Maybe you can lubricate the steering column plastic using alittle Krytox, similar to this photo I posted on my facebook Lubricating Steering Column, click here
