seat belt warning

hi, asking on behalf of my friend who drove a 535I GT A, his front passenger seat belt warning didn't sound when he never put on his seat belt. he bought his car just 5 months ago and it just happened. he said he didn't do anything to the thing but somehow it didn't sound when never put on the seat belt. may i know, how to solve this problem? his driver side got warning sound but not for his front passenger side.

my e60 LCI has the exact problem as well. Or is it even a problem in the first place?

Its normal. I have confirmed with PML.

either your friend very light of the seat cannot sense the weight.......

Tell ur fren drive faster lah. Juz letting it roll also bo sound 1. Anyway its quite troublesome 2 hv the sound. Imagine juz by moving car frm level 1 to level 2 u nid put on seatbelt. Congrats ur fren 4 having tis function. Envy

Mine doesn't have too. But it will know no passenger's there so airbag warning shown.

I'm trying to do the reverse. I just got my E60 pre lci not long ago. Always have this seat belt warning tone. Its irritating when you just want to drive it out 1km away for some grocery shopping or car wash & the seat belt warning keeps tingling. On my Mark X I was able to disable the seat belt warning, am thinking if I'm able to do the same for E60.

actually you could approach AD to disable the warning tone BUT AD would make you sign an Indemnity Agreement, to protect their own asses...

Anyhow this is funny. Last time in my E60, there's passenger seatbelt warning. Then everyone starts to complain. Tried various methods like shifting butt. Half sit half stand. Some gave the exasperated look when the chimes come on. Then hurriedly belt back.

Now no more seat belt warning. Everyone ask..... How come no more warning??????? Dangerous..... k**

is F07 sit belt like this? cause he said that the warning sound from the left passenger side somehow didn't sound since oct. it did sound before that. i know that every 535gt will have this but why his passenger side suddenly disappear? he really wondering... he went to workshop to check & they told him is normal. but he mention what he said but still say is normal cause this model is like that. i hope there a answer for him. as i know if one day his left passenger forget to put on the sit belt, it's dangerous. need advise from you all.. thanks.

did a check. the workshop call SA performance tell me is the seat meat sensor.. so... i don't know is it true anot.

I have a 2012 F11 and the passenger side seat belt audio and dashboard warning also off. Did PML intentionally programmed it OFF? Can I ask them to turn it back on? Or just the dashboard visual warning?
