Serious thread on 323 - advice needed (pls no OT!)

Hi guys,
I'm starting a new thread as the other thread I had already up the lorry.

If I am looking for a e90 323, should I:

1) Get from PML or PI? If I am not wrong, PI only sells coupe/cabrio but not sedan. Do correct me if I am wrong.

2) If I get from PML, do they sell only the baseline model? I hope not because I find it too basic (personal opinion).

[* The above 2 questions are based on the assumption that I get it new.....I don't mind getting a used e90 323/325 if it is in good condition/with low mileage; I'm also considering this option....]

I hope bros like 318newboy and tobynik can help out my queries.

For those who wants to OT, you are warmly invited to do it here:

Helloooo Robot, I got my current 323i as a second hand's car. So I can't really help much info on acquiring a new car.

When I took over, the mileage is about 5000km only (half a year from its first registration). It comes with xenon, fold mirror, headlight washer. Without i-Drive but I'm ok with it. But if you ever want to get a used car, may be you might want to consider 325i, the pricing is not really differ by a lot. Was initially thought of getting a 323i first, then mod slowly and tune it to a 325i. But come to think of it now, it can be quite costly.

During my ride last oil servicing in PML, went to kaypoh in the showroom. There are some highline 323i on sale.

If you want to see how it "behaves", let me know ya.

Thanks bro! Actually, I might get it 2nd hand too. I'm looking at the option. But I certainly won't mind getting a used one if it's only 5000km and half-a-year old. So I think you got a good deal there.

True. If I get new, I will take the 323, but if I go for used car, I might also consider the 325 because, like what you say, the price difference is not a lot.

Hmmm...maybe I should also go down to kaypoh to find out some basic information first.

Is there any other options which I should be aware of, e.g. auto aircon, auto-dimming mirror, reverse sensor?

Re: Serious thread on 323 - advice needed (pls no OT!)

dude, shouldn't matter much whether it's new or 2nd hand - the price difference between 323 and 325 new is S$7k (comparing listed price and same spec level).

if you get a pre-FL 2nd hand, price will be even lower.

the engine, AFAIK, is the same, just that the 323 is detuned. but don't get crazy ideas about tuning it up to 325 performance - expensive exercise.

at the end of the day, if you are going to pay the same road tax, might as well go for the 325?

Yep, these options are included too, plus the aircon vent below the armrest for rear passengers...

- Your company & job stable bo? No. But my wife's job is stable. Counted or not?
- You sure the E90 suits your personality? No, I hate the E90 design. But E92 not suitable for me because coupe is not convenient for baby.
- You sure after buying E90, you can market ur backside to pay installment? Sure can. My backside always very sellable!! You want? I can give you discount.

I see. So maybe if I can find a used 325 with idrive, with good condition, and the price is right, it may be a good deal too.

Anyway, most importantly, the car don't give me too many headaches...

Ha ha, thanks bro, but I cannot spend so much on a car, ha ha.....I prefer to keep more cash for rainy days...:p
If I am not wrong, it's around $198k for a 0.5 year 335. If you buy and decide to let go your cabrio, let me know hoh :D

Re: Serious thread on 323 - advice needed (pls no OT!)

Haha, but my cabrio can't even enter your car park leh. But seriously with a little princess a cabrio is not ideal for your needs. But the 335i coupe DCT is really yummy, slurp slurp.
