service interval

my last service interval is set at only 8000km. SA advised me that the interval depends on the condition and usage of the car. nowadays, most cars can last 10000km between servicing. VW can even go as high as 15000km. how can bmw be so chui to need servicing after only 8000km??

10000KM is about right, especially for turbo cars.

Can run till the engine conks without oil change if you want . Personally I would change oil every 5 k kms.

Actually it’s not just about the money, but also the inconvenience. I always feel that modern cars should be at least 10k.
