Servicing

Hi all!

I'll be getting a pre-loved BMW 116i. As the car is no longer under warranty, I will probably not be sending it to PML for servicing.
Can anyone advise if it's necessary to bring the car to a specialised BMW workshop for its servicing, or can i bring it to my trusted mechanic that I used for my previous ride(Jap car)? Things like changing of engine oil, etc.

yes and sure you can bring back to your usual workshop for an oil change...

Just make sure they have the software to reset the service interval. Else it will keep prompting you that it's overdue.
