True... I can see your point... i dont think people buy such cars to show off... anyway the M's are meant to be understated...

But if you were the owner and someone comes up to you to ask you if your M5 is real or fake, haha... sounds not too swee tio boh? we are all humans what - the feeling wont be very nice... no doubt one can laugh it off but still it will jog one's emotions a little..

I dont own an "M" car so i dont know how i will feel if I park next to a "fake"... maybe I will say "wah lau this one looks better than mine cos more fierce!!!!!" hahahah... just my thots..

This is gonna be a topic that has no end.

Was it a case of intended deception or misrep? What if it was not? What if the owner really was modding based on aesthetic appeal? Is that different from anyone of us E46 drivers installing M3 spoiler, M3 rims, M3 bonnet, M3 mirrors.......? Now, is that "spirit" of modding somewhat violated? Where do we draw the line of such mods? Too good the mod and it will be deemed as deceptive. Too lousy and it will be mocked against.

Okay, what if it was meant to deceive? Again, to each his own. If a Lancer wanna look like an Evo, who are we to comment? Harrier looking like RX300? I have seen many E46s (even Mazda 3s) slapping on an M3 emblem, and I am fine with that. They have that access to purchase the emblem, and they have the audacity and guts to badge it.

If you see one of these guys wear a tee shirt that proclaim that they have a huge "weapon", it could even be passed on as a fashion statement. Would you choose to laugh about it, or would you try to hang him for misrepresenting the true size of his "weapon?"

the prob is there are more 318i then 325i on the road. so if i guess 318i the chances of geting correct is higher.

Another DUD by the plastic surgeon Mike. I saw it a month ago at his workshop. Even the roof less the sun-roof has been laminated.

Why would people pay that kinda money to get this done; sometimes I wonder

edlee - I always wonder.... but i think its just becos people like to make their rides look fierce and good... nothing wrong in my opinion... but I get a bit irked when they put an ///M badge

when there is demand, there will always be solutions.. and make-overs will continue to be the rave of car enthusiasts.

I rather the owner mix and match ACS and hamann etc to make it look chio.
