LOL Robb Report is a car mag for people who really need to spend their money on luxuries, well, that's what it claims to be. I have only bought one magazine in the last decade from RR, and to me it sux. That means it's gonna be a great mag for people far far far richer than me, or more stupid, or smarter, or all of the above. Basically people with real money would take this Robb Report mag as a good guide.

Well this huffy car mag just pronounced the R8 as the Car of the Year.

Cachet or not, supercar or not, whether can test drive or not, seems that even the rich and dumb, rich and smart, have been recommended this car.

Yes, I know R8 won COTY I think in the straits times also. Wonderful!

Also in case you didnt know, previous winners included the Volvo CX90, and the Honda Civic. (ferrari, BMW, Lambos and maseratis never won before... strangely). It is indeed a leap forward that audi is mentioned in the same breath of the illustrious previous winners.

So perhaps it is time to trade your cayman (non-s) 2.7 litre for these COTYs.

They will be perfect additions to your stable of awesome cars.

Wishing you, Michael Tan (=caySman=centurion) a lifetime of enjoyment with the R8. (should you get one)

If not, I think the XC90 or Honda civic are great subsitutes too.

lol, someone's on FIRE!

by coincidence, just drove along a sweet, white R8 last night at 2+ am along keppel rd there... looks da bomb~ gave the driver a thumbs up, but apparently, he didnt notice it. it's a pretty quiet car despite its hot press, isnt it?

eh SMYUEN robbreport is the rich guy's car mag leh..... my car mag type is SPORT COMPACT CAR .... thought robb COTY will affect your decision not mine.

Anyways, Dean Shahul (sp?) sold his black SL55 for a silver R8... I still think it looks better in dark colours.

TDI is turbo diesel.

Nick, go google V10 Gallardo engine in R8.

Not sure if that plan has been shelved in favor of twin turbo V8s.

Recently, there was an AMV8 (less than a year old) on sale, OMV $180K+, owner asking $400K+. Compare that to the OMV of the Maser GT, which is $130K thereabout, going for $400K plus...... okay, might not be a fair comparison, but it does look like the AMV8 has a lower depre......
