actually.... how the F (excuse my language) will PML know you install aftermarket HID bulb? unless you go and declare....

then in this case....(excuse my hokkien)..... the declarer is super duper kum gong....

OT a bit.... machiam my friend 1 year back got caught for drink driving... while awaiting for court date... he got caught DD again at another road block...knn.... this is ultra kum gong....

FYI, HID bulbs draw an even lower voltage unlike halogen / incandescent bulbs..... its the ballast that acts like a 'ramp up / accumulator' to up the voltage.....

might be the video recorder that is drawing power from the battery....

hearsay... some people install dunno what 'power magic mushroom'.... the name alone... I dare not install into my car.... in case CNB think I have hallucinogenic magic mushrooms in my car....

CB, suan me again! I told them I installed after market HiD but it is because I scared the install not done properly. They can't get me to remove it and I told the SA I will not remove the bulbs or camera. The most they can void warranty on the bulbs nia. I'm not going to accept a battery that cannot take after market camera and light bulbs.

Not magic mushroom la.... u high liao.... magic box... it's to cut of power to battery if the battery falls below a said level.

the last audi i was driving.. if u change to after market bulbs.. car will detect and show error...

BMW... i don't know... highly possible that system can detect it.....

start OT... tell your friend.. his life is precious.. but if he wants to die.. don't bring others along... DD extremely irresponsible....

PML SA will taichi the fault to the workshop that performed the aftermarket HID bulb install....

Actually SA just call me said that they detected some leaks at presumely camera or magic box area. They have recharged the battery and everything seems ok now. Will pick up car later. Nothing mentioned on light bulbs so they are not blaming that. Hopefully battery ok after this. If not, maybe just remove the back camera at later date.

My dear brothers pls do not retrofit with soft closing. Let me share with you this.


My car comes original with soft door closing. Cool man. Of course very useful cos my children are below 10years and with little
Effort to close.

Unfortunately onlyy family members use it as soft closing. All other passengers just slam
The doors cos I can't educate everyone before they ingress egress my car. Also my car is with auto tailgate . Again when i unload my golf bag or go car wash, people use force to Close the boot. Heartache man.

What with the heartache? The mechanism has a fail-safe gear release to allow door slam. It suits both users.

Then those leg-kick boot release? If you press the release-latch, also heartache?

Electric tailgate and soft close also must be careful.

One time I parked at mscp too close to the rear wall(had still quite some space between bumper and wall), open the tailgate....and the next thing I know, the boot cover hit the wall...ccb, car only 1 month old left one whole line of scratch/paint mark on the tailgate. If manual tail gate, at least see want hit wall liao still can control a bit. Electric is just go all the way.

So tailgate hit wall and jam half way....already panic like fuck...knn start car try to move forward, but car cannot move, ding ding dong dong. Wah lao cannot be so suai car spoilt at a time when you need it to move the most, almost want to cry liao...then I realised, it is coz door never close...

Yup. This is another feature many are not aware. When you are moving slowly like during parking, if you open a door, transmission jumps to P and car stops.

I have the habit of opening my door to see the rear (reverse parking) when I am at unfamiliar places. Now I rely on rear-view camera.

Yup. This is another feature many are not aware. When you are moving slowly like during parking, if you open a door, transmission jumps to P and car stops.

I have the habit of opening my door to see the rear (reverse parking) when I am at unfamiliar places. Now I rely on rear-view camera.

You mean when you reverse into a parking lot and you open the door, transmission jumps to P and car stops?

F13 also same. I also like to open door to check, the PDC switches to an irritating warning screen, and the car jumps to P. Wish I had added surround view sometimes

That's why my surround view, top view, side view dunno what view was the best thing to have happened to the F13... that and Auto park.

But because of that, now I find parking the F02 (which only has reverse camera) such a fcuking chore!

As for me, I love to park the car myself, with some parking sensor aids.... Helps me learn the dimensions of the car better... More surreal, more analog.
