Bros.. happy new year...
a few heads up..

Bluetooth update UPD01006.bin is now available at BMW's website..
If you need to ask what is this for and where to find it... then u don't need it


ISTA/P 2.48.1 is out since dec2012 and has solutions for several drivetrain related issues..

SI B12 17 12
N52T/N55 with 8HP45: Delay in engine Response
F10 with N55 engines and 8HP45 transmission to 1/16/2012

SI B12 09 12
N55: Intermittent Loss of Power
All with N55 engine produced to 11/2012

updated with 2.48.2.. biggest improvement seems to be the transmission... it doesn't drop gears at the last min and now does it more gradually... was on 2.46.x before this

well worth the one day down time....

Cool. So what was your "reason" to counter their "it's normal" defense shield? Need to get prepared :)

go with the actual SI bulletin.. it has all the details and bulletin specifically states that it is done under warranty claims...

makes both yours and SA's job much easier...

Is there a way to check what is the version? Via idrive?...so can also verify current version and then upgraded version....

You can build your own Enet cable and use Esys to read the current I-level. This will give you the exact version.
Or you can use the Export profile function in idrive. Read the profile file with any text reader, the I-level is stated in the header. But this does NOT show you the exact I-level. This best used to verify if any updates had been done.
Or request for a software check print out. It will show the factory I-level, previous I-level and updated I-level along with a host of other interesting data like the VO for your car.. diagnostic... blah.. blah...

actual programming.. about 4+ hrs... with pml will take one day
