Planning to get 520i 2012 model, need some advise on the pros and cons for owning a Beemer,
There is too many on the turf to choose from,will greatly appreciat all your valuable advise.

Have totally no idea what are the things to look out for when selecting the 520.

Just got myself a 2012 520i but it comes without GPS map, any ideas if I can go to performance motor to get the software updated, how much does it cost or is it even possible.

Is yours the smaller iDrive screen like the one below?

If so, you will need to upgrade to the bigger screen iDrive system as seen below in order to get navigation if I am not mistaken.

If you have the budget, you could also go for the NBT model as below.

If you go with the Android HU, it is from $800 and up IIRC. If you want OEM or original one, it would be minimum 1K upwards if I am not mistaken.
