Storing of places as Favorites on the Navigation System

Hi Guys,

Our Navigation System has no option for "Favorites" which we can store many destinations into the system for easy accessibility. The only way is to search back the destination using "Recent Destination" option. This is unlike the stand-alone GPS type where we can store alot of places under "Favorites".

Is there any way that we can store many different places in the system and without keying in the street name/point of interest again? It's quite troublesome using the i-Drive dial to key in the long street name...

I entered them in the address book option. You can even assign a name for it there.

You can also find the places you want on google map then IMPORT into the nav as POI using thumb drive (glove box USB)... but POI search also leceh... best is address book store in car liao

Also can use Google Local Search (via BMW Live), and save in address book

There are eight memory recall hard buttons, where some important / frequent destinations can be stored.

Thanks Wmkok for your advise.. May I know how to I save the selected destination into the address book option? Hope you dun mind if u can explain the steps... I'm quite noob..kekeke...

I entered them in the address book option. You can even assign a name for it there.

Waooo...didn't know can be done this way...kekeke.
So u mean I can use the computer and search the desired POI using google map and save it into my thumb drive and just pluck it into the car USB and automatically it will download into it?
What file type shd I save the POI from google map into my thumb drive?

Once u are in the address prompt, u just need to key in the addresses..that's it only problem is u got to do a fair bit of manual entry.

Forgotten about the recall buttons, this morning happily assigned it to destination, phone call etc. great tips!

I never had any problems in assigning places to those. Sometimes, if you are not at the correct level, for example inbetween some search entries, the hard buttons cannot store.

You go all the way upto "Start the guidance" and then press the hard button.

I do not have problems assigning Destinations to one of my Favourites key in my E92 335i but it doesn't work in my F10 535i even following the steps above.

I use contact to save the address and use it for navigation later on.

My point of view is that BMW's navigation is the most not user friendly. Don't know what the engineer and designer is really thinking.

But it's sure a waste of $$$. Should have had used it in other mods

First-world problem. Wouldn't you know the route by memory if you keep driving to the same places?

My Navi Pro has up to 10 last gone destinations and also able to store favourite locations and HOME.

I love my car and ccb govt cos map outdated
