Overhauled gearbox might cost much more then getting a replacement used gearbox with warranty from KL..........

For those who are out of warranty, why dont get the extended warranty from Khang Auto? They cover gearbox.

Thanks, but the TWM is no good for me as my ride should hit the 125k by end of the year......Will probably go for just the 24months warranty with unlimited mileage if they accept it.....

I believe for TWM silver, the mileage stated in the various packages are the mileage that is covered from the time you sign up for the warranty, it does not refer to the actual odometer reading in your car.

e.g. if your current mileage is 125k and you sign up for a 2yr/50k package, then the warranty will cover you for the next 2 years or up to 175k on your odometer, whichever comes first.

sounds like a good option for us to consider.

anyway, just an update, one day, ( about a month ago) i decided to change petrol from spc 98, to vpower as there was a promo. Voila, the jerking stopped appearing. but i can feel the lack in response. But it has since been a month, and so far the jerking came back like maybe 2 -3 times, as compared to a daily routine.. i duno if this will help to id the problem better..
