I am generous. I put my second car under wife's name. I'll put my 3rd car under my godson's name. And my private jet under my lioness' name. I'm smart.

Hi, I know your lioness can give you a lot of happy endings, I meant happiness; but from securit perspectives, you should perhaps put the jet under your wife's name instead.

Actually I agree with the idea of placing surcharge for 2nd car registered under same owner. Its the same as property stamp duty, the whole idea is to make cars more affordable for those who do not yet own cars.

Perhaps u might say that to the rich they would gladly pay this surcharge but there might be a few who give up idea of 2nd car because of this rule, which means a few less people to bid for Coe.

How does this help congestion? It might or might not. Because if you say that one person who owns 3 cars can only drive one at a time might not be valid statement. Could be one for each child and wife and all drive the car at the same time. Perhaps if the car is register under the child's own name then the insurance premium will be higher and that will be another factor to discourage car ownership.

Honestly I don't know if this reply is even going to be read or not, cos 90% of the replies in this thread so far looks like spam. Perhaps it's this matter that forum admin are currently struggling to find a balance with

I would assume potential 2nd car owners would make up 10%-15%, i could be wrong. So I believe there are potentially new 1st car owners to fill up the gap easily. Which means not any lower COE. 2 cents.

They should just address the bloody COE problem (make it pay as you bid) as it is and stop dancing around the issue! Really tired of reading and hearing more ERPs, cost more money to drive, .. for second, third car, making car ownership a crimes, etc.

obviously, there is a conflict of interest
dealer want to sell sell sell ... in order to sell ... first they must secure coe ... so dealer must outbid other dealer
