Usually people check for damper oil leakage at the suspension area.

And maybe the hump u had was too big?

My car is very low and I have no problems thou.

Re: suspension gone???

Thx for such prompt replies.bought the car 2nd hand so nt sure what previous owner did.I really need slow down to 30-40kmh to avoid the scratch...also noticed that car is lower than others. Any way to check fr lowered ride or leak of damper oil.or such?

Re: suspension gone???

Hi All,

To change the suspension, is it just the Struts or the spring or both?

I am having some issues with my e93 335 and looking for Workshop, any recommendations? and what to change to? stock?
Newbie here :)

Besides that what is the estimate cost to change suspension? to stock?

Typically just the struts - or what some call the shock absorbers. Springs generally last a really looooooong time before wearing or breaking. If unsure, stay stock - gives the best balance between comfort and performance.

Coilovers are a different story altogether...

Thanks ikm,

I am not sure whether my prob could it be coilovers?, as I used to have sudden jerk to the steering whenever
I go over a bad road surface, or I will hit my undercarriage when going over a hump if not slowing down to

Re: suspension gone???

Shock absorber usually wear out at 50,000km, depending on the road, driving habit, large diameter of rim.

Re: suspension gone???

If my rear left and rear right are 2 finger and 1.5 finger gap respectively, which part is faulty? The springs or shock absorbers? Thanks.

- Spring rarely spoil
- Make sure ground is level as it will affect the gap ......
