switching off iDrive....

have you guys experience the radio still running with the engine off?

i realised the iDrive screen and radio will still be running when the engine is switched off and the doors arent locked.

However, if you were to drive with the key in the slot, after shutting down the engine and removing the key, the radio will turn off.

im more of a keyless guy so how do you program or is it even possible to switch the thing off by itself after shutting down engine?

Eg, park at home(i seldom lock the car), topping up petrol etc...

Any help will be appreciate. Read the owner's manual but couldnt find a solution.

i seldom drive wif the key slotted in so once u park ur car press the the start/stop button once to shut the engine... press 2nd time to off the idrive.

try to press the third times......

Press n hold the start stop button for 3 secs or more.. Everything shutdown n P engaged.
Actually even you don't do that the idrive n radio will switch on in about 5 minutes.
