Should somebody tell Shell that since the mid 90s car manufacturers have changed to plastic/resin tanks to meet crash standards? If i remember correctly, plastics don't rust right?

for the shell lucky draw, they also actually force you to tick the box that says "fill up your tank so it wouldnt rust" if not you cannot win lucky draw. ....i also heard if you leave stale petrol in your tank for too long it can actually become mutton soup.

Ahemm.. for RUSTY FUEL TANK .. fill up or not doesn't matter. It depends on the material the tank is made of mah. Half fill is lighter hence economical? no? Those who fill up to the bream also make less refueling trip as well.

for LOOSING WEIGHT.. well, 5 kg in a week not that absurd. I lost 1 kg in about 10 minutes.. just went to the toilet mah.
